谷类作物

谷类作物生产可食用的干籽，可长时间储存。真正的粮谷是禾本科植物。其他类似谷子的作物叫做伪谷物。大多数谷物都是蛋白质、碳水化合物和维生素B群的良好来源。栽培品种在季节和气候适应方面非常不同。谷类作物通常在潮湿季节开始时种下，在干季成熟。
