Resources for Refugees and Internally Displaced People
Refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) are both groups of people forced to leave their homes, but they differ in that refugees cross international borders to seek safety in another country, while IDPs remain within their country of origin. Both groups face similar challenges, including limited access to resources and vulnerability to violence, and many IDPs are considered "refugees in all but name" as they may face similar or worse circumstances than refugees.
