La agricultura flotante es una forma de utilizar áreas que están anegadas durante largos períodos de tiempo para la producción de alimentos. La tecnología apunta principalmente a adaptarse a inundaciones más regulares o prolongadas.

La técnica emplea camas de vegetación en descomposición, que actúan como abono para el crecimiento de los cultivos. Estas camas pueden flotar en la superficie del agua, creando así áreas de tierra aptas para la agricultura dentro de las regiones anegadas. Científicamente, la agricultura flotante puede denominarse hidroponía. En Bangladesh, tiene nombres regionales como baira, geto, dhap y bed.
