Guava
Origin: The place of origin of the guava is uncertain, but it is believed to be an area extending from southern Mexico into or through Central America. It has been spread by man, birds and other animals to all warm areas of tropical America and in the West Indies.

El guayabo peruano es un árbol pequeño perennifolio de hasta 10 m de altura con una corteza lisa, delgada y que se descascara. Su fruta pequeña es roja o amarilla y mide hasta 4 cm de diámetro. Las frutas se comen frescas, se usan para mermelada y la planta se usa a veces como ornamental.
