We are excited to announce that the first ECHO Sierra Leone Forum has a new date in February.
We are pleased to inform you that ECHO is organizing a forum on sustainable agriculture in Freetown.
This ECHO forum aims the bring knowledge and to strengthen networking for the benefit of people fighting against hunger, poverty and those serving the poor in Africa trough agriculture and appropriate technologies. Plenary sessions will be conducted during three mornings by persons of high knowledge from Sierra Leone and from the West African region and will be followed by workshops in the afternoon. Here are some of the important and interesting topics that will be discussed during this time of learning: Moringa production and uses, value addition on Cassava, Farming God’s Way, business planning for small scale farmers, village saving and loan association etc. The discussion groups will be led by regional agriculture officials and experts including yourself if you would like to share anything during the forum.

The cost of attending this ECHO West Africa Networking forum is USD 100 (L 600 000) per person.

There are some hotels, guest houses and housing arrangement also available nearby the Hotel, you can choose any of these places but note that ECHO will not take care of your transportation.

Post Forum Tours
Post forum tours, to be offered on the 3rd of March 2017 are currently being explored and further information will be communicated. Our hope is to offer excellent instances of sustainable agriculture, appropriate technology and to reach out to the poor through these tours. Forum participants will be asked to sign up for their preferences during check in on 21st of November 2016.

Afternoon workshops and evening presentations
ECHO forums take into consideration the opportunities generated by networking. What means that you, participants are the most important resource. In that view, please feel free to suggest topics for practical presentation during the afternoon sessions. In the course of other ECHO conferences around the world, some participants have discussed projects that have worked fine, possible good ideas for project, reasons of project failure, promising plants and how to integrate agricultural work with church activities.
