Sharing information is a core value of this community of practice. ECHO is pleased to offer its publishing platforms to individuals and organizations who wish to share selected resources—without the burden of managing their own distribution systems—or to expand the reach of materials already hosted on their own sites. We are committed to giving credit where credit is due, and all third-party resources are always fully attributed to their original creators.

A recent example of this collaboration took place when ECHO Asia’s Technical Resourcing Manager, Shaun Snoxell, visited the Mindanao Baptist Rural Life Centre (MBRLC) in the Philippines. MBRLC conducted influential work on Sloping Agricultural Land Technology (SALT) from the 1970s through the 1990s and retains valuable publications from that period in print form. During the visit, arrangements were made for Shaun to scan these materials and make them available on ECHOcommunity. Because these resources are downloadable, they are also accessible through the ECHOcommunity Mobile App

This initiative is just one of many examples of how ECHO collaborates with partners to preserve important resources and expand access to valuable knowledge across the global ECHO Network.
