Alfalfa is a low-growing, nitrogen-fixing perennial, with a strong taproot. Many varieties of alfalfa have been developed for excellent hay and forage. It has long been one of the most important forage species for livestock production.

Developed at the University of Georgia, this variety is suited to slightly warmer areas than the AmeriStand varieties. It is grazing tolerant and produces good yields of excellent hay. This variety is resistant to Fusarium Wilt and Phytophthora root rot.
