Sweet sorghum is an annual plant in the grass family up to 5 m in height. This variety of sorghum is distinguished by the sweet juice contained in the soft pith of the stalk and is mainly grown for syrup and sugar. It may also be planted for forage or silage.

Red's Red Sweet

A variety of sweet sorghum grown for syrup that performs well at ECHO Florida. Compared to other varieties, this one is adapted for northern climates.

From the Mae Jam and Pai regions of North Thailand. Seeds are black in color. Can be made into a sweetener.
