Many mites are microscopic in size, and distinguishing characters given in scientific descriptions are visible only through a high-powered, compound, phase microscope. As a result there is a great need for a non-technical publication that permits the identification of mites under grove conditions by persons not specifically trained in acarology, the study of mites, this bulletin attempts to fill that need.
