World Food Prospects: Critical Issues for the Early Twenty-First Century

This report provides a summary of the most recent results from IFPRI projections of the future world food situation. If then identifies and discusses six recent developments and emerging issues that will influence the prespects for global food security. The first of these issues is the nutrition situation, which appears to be deteriorating in some coutries, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa.
