Soil contains many kinds of living things, including microbes that enrich the soil, and protect plants from diseases. Chemicals can kill these good microbes. Cow dung has different kinds of good microbes. Cow urine contains nitrogen that nourishes the good microbes. Cow dung and urine are also food for the plants. Dark, unrefined sugar and chickpea flour stimulate the growth of the good microbes. Neem leaves help control pests.
