Abstract: A trial with three treatments and three replications was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design to assess the performance and pest population occurrence of different rice varieties applied with vermi tea brewed at various durations.

Glutinous rice recorded high growth and yield attributes like plant height, fresh biomass, number of filled grains and percent filled grains. The ibred (PSB 222) rice variety exhibited the most number of tillers, unproductive tillers, and panicles, as well as the highest 1000-seed weight and grain yield. The grain yield was significantly influenced by the brewing duration of vermi tea. Plants applied with vermi tea brewed for 48 hours gained the highest grain yield of 3.63 tons/ha. There was a highly significant interaction effect between variety and different brewing duration of vermi tea on the grain yield of rice varieties tested. The most dominant insect pests specie observed in the three rice varieties was green leaf hopper (Nephottix spp.) and that of natural enemy specie was Orange beetle (Cycloneda sanguine L.). As to the economics of production, glutinous rice generated the highest ROI of 370.44 %. As to brewing durations, plots applied with vermi tea brewed for 48 hours got the highest ROI of 404.76%.
