Leonidas Niyongabo is the Provincial Development Officer for the Province of the Anglican Church of Burundi. It coordinates a broad food security and environmental program in the province and at the national level. Prior to that, he worked with Concern Worldwide Burundi on their livelihoods security program, taught agriculture in schools and conducted research with the Regional Institute of Agriculture and Animals. He has a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Higher Institute of Agriculture, participated in trainings during the last years on participatory rural appraisal, Field School of Farmers Activity, Gender and Development and Planning of development, monitoring, evaluation and reporting. He recently worked on a disaster risk reduction manual for the global Anglican community.
