The 10th GFRAS Annual Meeting, whose topic is "Role of RAS in Climate Change & Disaster Risk Management" will take place at Royalton Negril, Jamaica between 30 September and 4 October 2019. Side Events are planned to take place on September 30th, the main meeting between October 1-3, and a General Assembly on October 4th. GFRAS Steering Committee/Board meeting is scheduled to take place between 5 and 7 October. The Annual Meeting is co-organized by the Caribbean Agricultural Extension Providers’ Network (CAEPNet); Jamaica’s Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture, and Fisheries (MICAF), and the Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA). The Caribbean Agricultural Extension Providers’ Network will host its Executive Committee Meeting and its annual membership meeting on Sunday, September 29th. http://g-fras.org/en/am19.html

articipants from all regions of the world working in RAS or in related fields are welcome at the 10th GFRAS Annual Meeting. Stakeholders from different sectors – public, private, and civil society – are encouraged to register for the meeting, including representatives of farmer organisations, private companies, research and education institutions, development agencies, media and others. In order to guarantee a participatory meeting with a focus on networking and exchange, the number of participants will be limited to approximately 150. If more people register, participants will be selected by the GFRAS Annual Meeting Organising Committee in a way to secure a best possible balance between regions, sub-regions, sector, gender, age and other criteria.
Limited funding is available to sponsor at least one representative per region to attend the meeting. Partner organisations are welcome to sponsor additional participants.
The fee for attending the GFRAS Annual Meeting ranges between USD 200-300 and varies depending on the participant's country of residence. More information can be found under "participation fees".
In total, the maximum number of participants is set at 150 participants. This has financial, logistical, and particularly methodological reasons. A smaller meeting provides more occasions for exchange and the initiation of longer-term partnerships.Out of the 150 people, the GFRAS Secretariat expects to be able to sponsor 10 people. Partner organisations are welcome to sponsor selected participants that are not GFRAS sponsored and would need to come self-funded otherwise. The organising committee has allocated participants to the regions as follows."

Meeting costs for participants
Meeting participation for the GFRAS Annual Meeting ranges between USD 200 and USD 300 per person for the full conference package, and varies based on the country of residenceof the participants.

These costs apply notwithstanding the amount of days participants are attending the meeting and include:
- General conference services (venue and materials, translation, facilitation, etc.);
- All meals and beverages are included in the hotel daily rates for participants staying at the Royalton Negril (all-inclusive system). Participants who choose to stay elsewhere must cover the costs of their own meals;
- Field trips on 2 October;
- Social programme including a welcome cocktail, a cultural dinner, and a closing ceremony;
- Space, table, pinboards and/or flipcharts for stand at the market place;
- Meeting folder with relevant documentation.
Please note that self-funded participants will have to pay their accommodation themselves.
