This publication, produced under the auspices of the Environment Management Group of the United Nations, argues that drylands in developing countries should be 're-capitalized'. This will require a cross-sectional approach, something that the United Nations, with its global reach and wide range of activities and expertise, is uniquely positioned to catalyze.
