This web site allows simple searches of the USDA Food Composition Databases which includes the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference (SR) and the USDA Branded Food Products database. Also included in the SR are data from the USDA Database for the Isoflavone Content of Selected Foods, Release 2.0 (2008), the USDA Database for the Flavonoid Content of Selected Foods, Release 3.1 (2013), and the USDA Database for the Proanthocyanidin Content of Selected Foods (2004). Enter one or more keywords in the indicated box and click on “GO” or press the Enter key on your keyboard. This will perform a search for the specified keywords in the food descriptions field. Alternatively, when the user enters a few letters in the search box the program will use auto-suggest to assist by producing a pull down menu, identifying items from the database. You can scroll down and click on the specific item you want. You may also enter the NDB No. of the food item which will take you directly to the designated item.
