The first four chapters deal with the structure and biology of nematodes in general and with the damage that they can cause to plants either alone or in concert with other pathogens. The authors then deal in 16 chapters with specific genera of plant-damaging nematodes grouped ecologically in relation to the nature of their attacks. A chapter on nonparasitic forms precedes a concluding discussion of chemical, nonchemical, and biological control. This comprehensive but succinct coverage of the field of plant nematology is documented, chapter by chaper, with selected references.
