This report recognises the need to promote peoples' participation in social forestry and makes several recommendations which, if adopted, may help strengthening the role of the voluntary organisations and the school system in social forestry. The findings of the study will be found usefull also by policy-makers and officials involved in planning and implementation of social forestry programmes and projects in the country.
