The low-cost and powerful micro-computers which have come into the market during the last decade opened up the opportunity for application of dynamic simulation modelling to the complex problems of development planning and other fields. Many simulation models have been developed by using micro computers. The Area Production Model is one of these computer simulation models which has been developed for use on micro computers.
