This describes the disease of rabies, with advice about its symptoms, protection and action if you might be infected. The details are supported by a story about a young boy, whose ideas about paying attention in school were changed by the experience of being bitten by a dog!

The material in this book has been collected from numerous sites. The story is by Charlotte Hall, aged eleven. The dog pictures were drawn by Bet King. Other pictures are from "Where there is no Artist", Petra Röhr-Rouendaal, Intermediate Technology Publications, whose royalty-free illustrations are gratefully acknowledged.
