This report summarizes the results of field experiments made in Perto Rico, Brazil, Peru, and Ghana to measure crop response to liming of acid Ultisols and Oxisols.  The specific objectives of these experiments were to determine crop response to rate and depth of liming, to evaluate residual effects of liming, and to relate soil properties to lime requirements and crop response.  The goal of this field research and supporting study of soil properties is to make liming recommendations that fit the specific soils and cropping situation of indiviual farmers.
