ECHO East Africa is welcoming submission of offers for presentations. The event has a purpose to gather together those working in pastoralist areas to share best practices, to become more aware of key issues, of others' work, and to network. The range of topics is still wide but we are especially considering presentations on the impact of population growth, wildlife/human conflict or co-existence, spacial mapping and land/natural resource use planning, index-based livestock insurance, livestock disease control, livestock markets, girl-child education, Christianity vs preserving Maasai culture, investors & communities, and others. There will be nearby optional field trips on the 4th day, 4th March, including a visit to a pastoralist community in transformation with holistic management. We welcome other suggestions for field trips in the area as well.

Would you be keen to present a theme?  We need from presenters a title, 3 sentences on your theme, and 3 sentences on your biodata, especially if you have not presented before.

Would you suggest to ECHO East Africa leader someone else to invite as a presenter from among your network? If in the course of your work or in East Africa 'wanderings', you may have come across people with PRACTICAL EXPERIENCES who have been instrumental in resolving challenges facing pastoralists? Perhaps you also know of some people who are doing excellent work in pastoralist areas? ECHO East Africa thank you in advance for any and all help you can give to promote quality presentations for this event.
