Recipe Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in large pot
  2. Stir together and cook until it starts to boil
  3. Turn down heat and cook on low heat until thick and shiny at least ½ hour, stirring frequently
  4.  Long slow cooking gives the rich ‘butter’ flavor and blends spices
  5. Pour into canning jars and close the lids.
  6. Put jars in large pot and cover with hot water.
  7. Bring water to a boil and process for 10 minutes
  8. Remove jars carefully and let cool.
  9. NOTE: This recipe can be used with any tropical fruits such as papaya, cooking bananas, tecojotes, etc.
