School gardens are incredible ways to engage students by exploring the world around them. Plants add sensory engagement and hands-on learning that extends beyond subject areas into real life applications and hope for the future. In a garden students can learn to care for more than just plants; they can learn to care for others and the environment!

At ECHO, we demonstrate sustainable ways to integrate gardening techniques into classrooms through square foot gardens, companion planting, wicking beds, sack gardens, and more! This curriculum companion will help teachers, parents, and caregivers to engage with students about the environment in easy and fun ways for students of all ages.
