Recipe Instructions:

  1. Cut up greens after washing well.
  2. Freeze in plastic bag.
  3. Fill 8 quart pot with water and add the frozen kale.
  4. Cover and cook at high heat turning occasionally for 20 minutes.
  5. Drain and press the leaves.
  6. When kale is cool, chop it up to smaller pieces.
  7. Melt butter in pot with onions and garlic, add Ham cook 5 minutes.
  8. Add broth, boil and simmer 5 minutes.
  9. Add kale and rest of butter, cook 5 more minutes.
  10. Can add red wine vinegar before eating.
