As conservation of natural resources and reduction of environmental pollution becomes daily more vital, the problems and potential values of livestock manures become increasingly more important to mankind. This publication presents an overview of the status of livestock manures, their interrelationship with society as well as with agriculturalists, the problems they create, and the possibilities they offer as sources of energy and of soil enrichment.
