This volume is intended to provide an overview of the relationship between water and human health. The primary focus is on water and health in the development world as influenced by provision of safe, adequate, accessible, and reliable drinking water supplies. Attention is also given to diseases associated with oppucpational and recreational contact with water and with animate vectors of disease which live or breed in water habitats.
