This thesis reflects part of the results, the methodologies applied and the change in approach to research of a project of co-operation. The project focused on finding methods for improved management and use of acid sulphate soils in the Mekong delta. The thesis also reviews the recent literature on acid sulphate soils, and screens it for its applicability.
