The study underscores the potential of OFSP for value addition in local communities,​

  1. The use of OFSP Puree by MSMEs potentially reduce wheat imports ​
  2. Enhances improvement in the nutritional status while​
  3. Providing employment opportunities especially for youth and women​

But​:

  1. Need to increase dissemination of OFSP to improve its availability in communities ​
  2. Address the short shelf life of the stored roots ​
  3. Promote the Aseptic puree technologies so that ready to use puree can be accessed processors (link large puree processing and adapt it for local use)
