The present study, undertaken in West Bengal State of India, documented eggplant pest problems, farmers' pest management practices, patterns of input use, and economic returns in order to develop a baseline understanding of socio-economic parameters that influence farmers' pest management practices in eggplant, West Bengal State is especially suitable for such a study because it is leading producer of eggplant, accounting for 28% of the country's production.
