Small-scale rural farmers and refugees, among whom I serve, live under perpetual poverty. They live in deficit, not meeting fully the basic needs that include several meals per day, except one or once in two days. They cannot afford to offer education to their children without the intervention of the universal education programme. Medical bills and housing are often a major challenge for rural small-scale farmers. Therefore, they are trapped in poverty and hunger.
