A shrub with large green leaves and dark orange flowers. Plant height is shorter than T. diversifolia. It is often introduced for its attractive flowers and it grows 1m tall. It grows on most soils and is moderately resistant to drought. Provide well-drained soil in full sun. Stake if necessary and shelter from strong winds. CAUTION: We caution against planting Tithonia where it does not already exist as it can become weedy.
