Send a Cow works with smallholder highland farmers helping them to improve their farming system by promoting sustainable organic agriculture with improved backyard farming alongside gender and social development activities. Our low input, holistic approach builds resilience by empowering farmers, particularly women. It makes them have hope for the future, improve family dynamics, Increase household food and income security and help them to manage their resources more sustainably. 

Presenter: Aklilu Dogisso is an Ethiopian with a BSc degree in Agriculture from the University of Addis Ababa - Haramaya Agricultural College, and MA degree in Rural Social Development from the University of Reading in the UK. He has worked at SAC for more than 9 year as Country Director and is responsible for policy and strategy development, networking and relationship building, fund raising and financial controls, capacity building and programme effectiveness, image building and programme expansion.
