Speaker Bio: Patrick is originally from Louisiana, but spent most of his growing-up years overseas. He lived in Rwanda, Mauritius, and Botswana before returning to the U.S. to begin university. After completing his undergraduate degree, he returned to Virginia Tech to complete a Master’s degree in Crop & Soil Environmental Sciences, and worked on a Feed the Future project in Senegal. He has been working with ECHO in Thailand for the past 2 years and has traveled and worked in several countries in the region. Patrick is also an International Certified Crop Advisor.

Abstract: This presentation will introduce and summarize the key components needed in creating an Integrated Pest Management plan. We will also touch on basic pest and disease identification, and will introduce several pest management options used in smallscale and organic production settings in the region.
