Tropical Agricultural Development Courses, Levels I and II
Course participants will gain an introduction to aspects of international poverty and community development and an orientation to ECHO in this one-week course. They will also receive instruction on proven agricultural principles and practices, systems and technologies to meet agricultural and nutritional needs of impoverished farmers.
This intermediate class is geared toward experienced overseas workers and nationals with involvement in agricultural development or those who have participated in TAD I. Course attendees will participate in an in-depth look at sustainable farming practices for soil and water conservation, integrated techniques for small-scale farms, underutilized plants & their uses and field case studies from various regions of the world.
